Start Up Account Executive

The Account Executive role is a high-impact sales position focused on driving growth in Oryx’s Start-up segment. This segment includes dental practices in their earliest stages of launch—where the right partner can make all the difference. This role is responsible for converting new start-up practices to Oryx, nurturing them through onboarding, and ensuring a smooth transition to a paid account once they reach 200 patients (or 12 months).
This is a quota-carrying role with a strong emphasis on outbound sales, relationship-building, and education. The Account Executive will collaborate with Marketing to generate interest, build a strong pipeline, and engage regularly with dental consultants who advise early-stage practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed individual revenue targets for signed start-up practices and successful conversions to paid plans
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, outreach, qualification, demo, and close
- Own and manage all inbound startup leads with a high sense of urgency, maintaining rapid response times to maximize conversion
- Quickly qualify inbound opportunities and prioritize high-intent prospects to optimize pipeline efficiency
- Proactively generate outbound leads and build strong relationships with dental practice management consultants
- Collaborate closely with Marketing to execute outbound campaigns and track results
- Leverage internal team members to conduct platform demos and highlight clinical/comprehensive benefits
- Ensure accurate lead, contact, and deal records in HubSpot and follow up on all opportunities in a timely manner
- Educate the market on Oryx’s unique “Start-up Support Program” and patient threshold-based pricing model
- Provide product feedback and insights from the start-up segment to inform strategy
- Partner with Customer Success to ensure a smooth onboarding experience and track customer milestones
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 1–3 years of experience in a B2B sales or SDR/BDR role, preferably in healthcare or SaaS
- Passion for working with small businesses or start-ups, with a proactive and entrepreneurial spirit
- Strong outbound sales and relationship-building skills
- Excellent communicator who can simplify complex ideas and build trust quickly
- Familiarity with the dental industry is a plus, but not required
- Highly organized and comfortable working within a CRM (HubSpot experience preferred)
- Eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a high-performing, mission-driven team
